On October 9, 2016 Bobby Glen Martin went to be with his Heavenly Father. He was the son of Cecil Camden Martin and Beulah Brown Martin.



He was born May 7, 1939. Preceding him in death are his parents; nephews, David Martin, Wayne Phillips, Tommy Prince; brothers-in-law, Buddy Vass, Donald Ott, Harold Blankenship.

On October 9, 2016 Bobby Glen Martin went to be with his Heavenly Father. He was the son of Cecil Camden Martin and Beulah Brown Martin.



He was born May 7, 1939. Preceding him in death are his parents; nephews, David Martin, Wayne Phillips, Tommy Prince; brothers-in-law, Buddy Vass, Donald Ott, Harold Blankenship.



Those left to cherish the good memories are his wife of 57 years, Shelia Phillips Martin; sons, Michael (Lori) Martin, John Mark (Danelle) Martin; daughter, Melissa (Michael) Weeks; grandchildren, Taylor Martin, Garrett Martin, Savannah Weeks, Caroline Weeks, Camden Martin, Jocelyn Martin, Hannah Martin; brother, Kenneth Martin; sister, Patty Vass.



He was a Christian, member of the Crab Orchard Baptist Church and a past deacon. He loved to fish Cranberry Glades and hunt with his sons and brother-in-law, James, camping at Lake Stephens where everyone called him Pops. His work ethic was un-measurable starting at 14 with a work permit and retiring after 51 years in the coal industry. Bobby loved his neighbors and meeting class mates for lunch.



Services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, October 14, 2016 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Beckley with Pastor Dr. Mike Sisson officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.



Friends may gather with the family Friday from 12 – 2 PM at the funeral home.



In lieu of flowers donations in Bobby’s memory can be given to the Building Fund of Crab Orchard Baptist Church PO Box 446 Crab Orchard WV 25827
